This paper presents an assessment of the effects of human activities on the microbial water quality along Nyangores stream. Seven sampling stations were selected to correspond to different human activities along the stream. Physical and chemical water quality parameters were measured in situ using measuring probes and coliform bacteria determined using the membrane filtration technique (MFT). Significant variation (p<0.05) of physical chemical parameters were observed downstream. The same trend was observed with total coliforms and Escherichia coli. Higher densities of bacteria were recorded during the wet season. We conclude that human activities influenced the quality of water in Nyangores stream.en_US
