Abstract: In the area of natural resource management, KCDP aimed at "improving the management and regeneration of natural resources and biodiversity in the coastal region and marine environment as well as to aid communities in the development of eco-tourism and other nature based livelihood ventures". The project team worked towards improved management systems and formulation of guidelines and biodiversity strategies for the management of natural resources along the Coast. Consequently, the team succeeded in developing and updating four management plans against the project target of three plans. Additionally, this component of KCDP initiated three conservation strategies during the project timeframe. This chapter provides an account of the completed management plans and conservation strategies.
